Preparing Sound Installation, Tuesday 08.01.13

Creation of tickets; based on the tickets issued to the public for the Queen's visit to the canal, each ticket folds out to show a map of the route the Queen took. In addition the tickets are hole-punched so that when fed through the music box they play God Save The Queen. Each ticket is numbered individually.

Aligning canal panoramas to ensure they are centered properly and fixing them between the perspex boards. The protective covering was left on the outer surfaces of the board until they were mounted to prevent damage or wear.

Proof-of-concept prototype of the canal panoramas; fixed between two pieces of perspex and attached to a wooden board using the same type of screw / bolt to demonstrate concept.

Room plans for show

The above image shows the space i have been given to show my work at the MA Show, i have spend a few weeks calculating the space and working out how i was gonna use the space to show a 12 metre long image of the Bridgewater Canal and to project sound into the room.

Preparing my Degree show space

This photo shows my display space prior to the fitting of the wooden boards.

Once the boards were mounted to the walls example strips of the panorama were attached to check the length.

The boards were then gumtaped together and painted white.
